USA Diary // 5th Feb – 8th Mar 2010

shit, it's been a while since i wrote on what is happening over here... i suppose that *may* be because not all that much has actually happened?

after the month of travelling it was my intention to have some downtime in Vegas at dad's house

we headed to san diego with dad to see the sights and to cram in one more location before kate ended her journey. we went to seaworld and unfortunately no trainers were harmed while we watched the whale show... it was pretty awesome none the less

whilst we were in san diego, the mardi gras was on... only a street away from where we were staying too... when you think mardi gras, don't think that it's like the gay one, but the kind where you cram all these people in a small space, plaster them with alcohol and throw beads at them... although i find it really odd, i think that it was pretty cool, shame i wasn't plastered like the rest of them!

kate left a few weeks ago now, which kinda sucked... good for her though, heading from Las Vegas to her new home in Brisvegas

we headed back to vegas and have been chilling out a bit. we went to se "le reve" at wynn (which is a hotel here) and that was pretty awesome... the cirque shows here are just nuts, not only do they have incredible talent, they also are so trustworthy with all of the other performers and the staging and crew. if someone doesn't press a button, it's the difference between them diving into water that is very deep, or landing on a stage that is under only an inch of water
orlando

i head home in about a week and i'm actually looking forward to it, getting back home and seeing my loved ones. i'm especially looking forward to seeing my bed... it's been too long!

although i love the concept of relaxing, it's really not for me... i need to be doing something

oh and having money helps too! who would have thought?

tapping lady luck on the shoulder...

it seems that any body of water in america has coins in it... people love to throw a coin in to make a wish!

so, why not follow a trend and clog up the filters of some fountains in vegas that have cost millions of dollars to build?

the other day when we were at the Bellagio, i was standing there for what seemed like FOREVER trying to think of a wish to make before throwing my penny in the lake

it's clear that my luck isn't on the poker machines here... silly "slut" machines! (no that wasn't a typo)

my issue was that i wanted to think of a wish that would be a tad tangible and not something like "i would like $1,000,000 to appear in my wallet". i tried my hardest to make my wish something heartfelt and related to my ongoing happiness when i return back home

of course i'm not going to tell you what i wished for, but in a roundabout way it was kind of 2 wishes in one... i asked for the "main" wish and then i also wished that if i wasn't to get that, then i just wish to be happy and content with whatever it is that is left of the situation that i'm trying so desperately to tip-toe around

i do strongly believe in karma though. i'm a good person and i always do the right by people and just want the right done back to me. when i write this, it seems so simple, but as time goes on i realise that it's not all that easy!

so...
have you ever made a wish?
has it come true?
