USA Diary // 20th Jan & 21st Jan

i bet that i'm going to be so shit at keeping this up to date... so that's just a warning... i'll try my best - but usually my best is my worst!

after a HUGE flight over, which ironically after we got off the plane felt like we hadn't really flown at all (thanks to my doctor for the magic pills) we arrive in Los Angeles... right in the middle of some weird ass weather. rain non stop. not fun.

we got in a multi share cab with some pommy dude in the back seat who was talking to an american lady... he was a moron, that's putting it politely. going on and on to her about how he is an actor and how he is in LA for 6 weeks to break the market here - i'm pretty sure that 'house' already has it's hugh laurie - that's enough poms for one big town!

arrived at the hotel, checked in and decided to go for a walk to the local supermarket to grab some food... eating dinner at what would have been our lunch time back home was not bad, but going to bed afterwards was a little odd... we had meatloaf, potato salad and a caesar salad packet thing - it was delicious

after dinner i crashed out hard, but then woke up a few hours like i had just had an arvo nap... soon went back to bed and then had an ok sleep - woke at 9 to watch some trashy morning tv (all tv here is trashy) and then jumped on the computer to see what we could do near our hotel in beverly hills, preferably undercover

so we went shopping for a few hours, walked round and then before we knew it, it was dinnertime and we were at The Cheesecake Factory eating another massive meal that i could only stomach half of... so what better thing to do than order desert too? we came back to the room and i flaked out on the bed while brayden and kate went to get some booze - for $2 we got about a litre of booze each... i got vodka of course :)

so now i'm half cut and ready to go to bed... the weather is going to be shit again tomorrow but we are going to do Santa Monica Boulevard and see the sights around Hollywood (the place, not the person, i've seen her sights before and i do not need to see them again, i have memories that will last a lifetime)

oh, i also have an american number and some data here too so i can upload adventures while i'm on the go... how exciting!

miss you all, ok, maybe not *all* of you, just some of you...
